The perfect home bar can be the center piece of any house downstairs or in your patio outdoors where you can entertain your friends and be the pub landlord for the night. Planning your bar
It’s easy to build a bar but planning is key to all of this. You should make some plans of what you want yours to look like, if you have a bar top, a bar roof and how many people you want to sit on bar stools whilst you are serving drinks.
Behind the bar you’ll likely have a wet area to wash glasses and add water to liquor drinks such as whisky and make ice cubes. On the wall will be liquor bottles with measuring devices. You may also want to keep beer kegs seperately underneath the counter and have a refridgerator to store non alcoholic drinks.
Remember that the average bar is approximately 8-10 square feet so will take up a reasonable amount of space. You’ll need an area for you to access behind the bar and for people to sit on bar stools in front of the bar. Most people add their bars in a corner of a room but any place will suffice.
